Melania may leave the marriage with $50 million as well as custody of their only son Barron Trump. New York divorce lawyer Jacqueline Newman explained that should Melania stay with the former president for a long time even after their time at the White House, the former first lady may choose to renegotiate their prenuptial agreement to get more money.
London divorce lawyer Janette Johnson added that this renegotiation may also include penalty clauses for her husband’s misbehavior. Johnson cited Trump’s affair with adult film star Stormy Daniels.
Many have weighed in on the actual relationship Melania has with her husband, with some accounts conflicting with others. Former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman previously said that Melania was counting down the days until she can leave him.
